Little Shop of Horrors is a rock musical by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood. The musical is based on the low-budget 1960 black comedy film 'The Little Shop of Horrors', directed by Roger Corman. The music composed by Menken in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, "Skid Row (Downtown)", "Somewhere That's Green", and "Suddenly, Seymour".

Pod 1
The baby of the Audrey II family. POD 1 is planted in a replica Maxwell House coffee tin, just like the original 1986 movie. The tin has a false bottom allowing the puppeteer to operate the plant from underneath in conjunction with out counter (available for hire with our set). The plant has full working snapping motion and lip pouting along with growth from the stem upwards.
Pod 2
An exciting and very animated number two plant. POD 2 allows the actor/puppeteer to have full control over the puppet whilst being able to move around the stage, singing, acting and even dancing! Operated by one single hand control POD 2 is very easy to operate but looks like its radio controlled. It’s got a killer smile as well!
Pod 3
She just keeps growing! Audrey II POD 3 is an audience stopper! Gasps, laughs, and shock will flutter around your auditorium as number 3 comes to life, all by the aid of one single puppeteer. POD 3 has fully animated lips and mouth, full growing foliage inline with POD’s 1 & 2 and sits in a large wooden crate. This one has to been see to be believed, it’s awesome and will add a professional air to your performance!
Pod 4
The largest of all of the four POD’s this little monster stretches 6ft across and 8ft high! POD 4 uses the same container as POD 3 but with additional foliage. This POD is operated by two Puppeteers in tandem and does take stamina and strength. It has full working mouth and top lip function. POD 4 swallows most average size people down the specially constructed trap door tongue gullet, (see detailed plans for operation). Additional suited puppeteers can be added to bring the POD’s foliage to life more, (additional puppeteer foliage suits not included in main hire). This POD comes with additional finale flowers, suit, face and arms sets for Mushnik, Orin, Audrey & Seymor.
